Assemble offers a series of original content, including lessons taught by eminent Black and Brown innovators and leaders from all walks of life. Founded by actor Jesse Williams, music director Cortez “Tez” Bryant, entrepreneur Cortney Woodruff and philanthropist Avrell Stokes, the platform aims to guide and inspire young people and learners throughout their journey in current and emerging professional fields.

Leading the group of instructors, Sir John is a dynamic force in the beauty and fashion industry who has worked with notable clients including Naomi Campbell, Beyonce, Priyanka Chopra, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Zendaya , Mary J. Blige, and more. A master at her craft, her awe-inspiring looks have appeared in print and video on the global media landscape.

Sir John is a credentialed thought leader and lifelong activist in the beauty industry. As the US Creative Director of L’Oréal USA, Sir John launched the L’Oréal US Diversity Council which was launched earlier this year. He is also a newly elected board member of the Black In Fashion Council and has consulted with some of the best beauty and PR companies in the industry to educate and advocate for inclusion and representation. He was also instrumental in helping frontline workers amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing together brands to help with needed skin care in hospitals across the country.
