Veranda Learning Solutions Launches “Veranda Acacia” Platform to Bridge the IT Skills Gap

Veranda Learning Solutions, a Chennai-based edtech company, has announced the launch of Veranda Acacia, a comprehensive learning platform aimed at bridging the skills gap in the IT industry through ready-to-use training programs .

The company signed the first set of delivery centers in 25 locations across the country.

In a press release, the edtech platform said Acacia Phase 1 curricula for comprehensive web development, cloud and DevOps, and data science are aligned with competency standards developed by SSC NASSCOM in conjunction with industry and approved by the Indian government. (GOI).

SSC NASSCOM is the national standards body for IT skills established under the aegis of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

Program Features

The programs are based on an outcome-based approach that focuses on improving the employability quotient of learners through a 100% practice-oriented and industry-aligned curriculum, regimental pedagogy and a robust placement support mechanism, the company said.

Acacia programs (known as career paths) are offered to undergraduate and postgraduate students, both at Acacia delivery partner centers and on institutional campuses. A total of six career tracks are offered, three each in Phase 1 and Phase 2, namely full web development, cloud and DevOps, data science, cybersecurity, mobile app development, intelligence artificial and machine learning.

“All of our programs are results-driven and together with Veranda Acacia, we aim to fill the current shortage of skilled labor in the technology sector. We will offer high quality, affordable and experienced instructor-led courses in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to enable learners to quickly integrate into the industry over the next 12 months,” Kalpathi S Suresh, President and Chief Executive Officer, Veranda Learning Solutions, was quoted in the release. .
